The castle of Bridoré is an ancient fortified castle that stands in the French commune of Bridoré. During the visit, you will discover a new augmented reality animation that plunges you into the history of Imbert de Batarnay, one of the most remarkable men of his generation: chamberlain to Louis XI, Charles VIII, Louis XII, François I and friend of Leonardo da Vinci, grandfather of Diane de Poitiers.
A medieval military fortress (XIVth - XVth centuries), Bridoré Castle has a defence system which is unique in France (4 caponniers), a 100ft - tall keep, moats, and also steam baths.
Open in summer (groups by appointment all year round).
